For many Porto Mari is considered their top 5 pick of beaches in Curacao. The perfect balance between nature and facilities makes this one of the best ways to spend your day.

Watch tower

The first thing you do after arrival (yes, even before you take a dive) should be climbing a few stairs to the of the watch tower, located next to the parking lot. It gives a stunning view of the full beach, as well as the azure blue sea as far as the eye can see.

Tanning and lounge beds

Even though the beach is very large with plenty of tanning beds, there are times at which there are not enough beds for all visitors. There are also a limited number of shadow spots available.

It gets especially busy during the tourist holidays. To make sure you secure your spot, make sure you don't arrive too late.

Restaurant and facilities

You can get all types of drinks and cocktails from the bar. There is also a restaurant with excellent food, maily for lunch or an early diner. Since there are no alternative places to eat or drink, we find the prices at the restaurant to be very reasonable.

Opening hours

Earlier than many other places, Porto Mari closes its doors around 19:00. This means no late night beach lounging or drinks or even a long dinner.

And yet, you'll probably leave this place fully satisfied and eager to visit again!
